Emergency services have rushed a woman to hospital in a serious condition after she was struck by a car in the early morning in Sydney’s southwest.

Paramedics were called to the intersection of Harrow Rd and the Princes Highway in Kogarah about 5.15am and treated a woman for serious head injuries before transporting her to St George Hospital.

The driver of the Mazda – a 45-year-old woman – was also taken to St George Hospital for mandatory testing.

NSW Police have established a crime scene and an investigation has begun into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
