Dirt bike rider suffers serious injuries after accidental crash into back of police car in Brookdale

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after he crashed into the back of a parked police car. The incident unfolded about 8.55pm on Thursday on Powell Crescent in Brookdale. Police were attending an unrelated call-out and were parked up when a blue and white Yamaha dirt bike turned onto Powell Crescent and headed for the back of the car. Despite officers flashing their torches at the rider to alert them, the rider did not stop and struck the vehicle’s rear. The 31-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by paramedics.
