Queensland cop Robert Eickenloff fronts court accused of helping daughter over border

A police officer has fronted court accused of escorting his daughter over the Queensland border without a valid pass.

Senior Constable Robert Eickenloff appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday charged with misconduct in relation to public office.

The 56-year-old allegedly travelled to the border checkpoint between Queensland and NSW on September 15, while on duty, to meet his daughter Maddie and escort her back into the Sunshine State.

Miss Eickenloff had been working in Canberra but travelled to northern NSW to meet her father.

Constable Eickenloff appeared briefly in court, where his bail was extended and his matter adjourned until November 29.
