A toddler missing for hours during wild storms in the South West overnight is now back safe in his mother’s arms.

Two year old Albert and his family were lodging at the Stay Margaret River Motel on Wallcliffe Road, when they noticed him missing about 4:30am this morning.

Worried residents were quick to join police searching in nearby bushland following the stormy conditions in the area last night.

“There was quite a big storm last night so it’s very worrying,” said the hotel’s next door neighbour before Albert was found.
