A woman’s body has washed up in WA’s South West a month after a 23-year-old was swept off nearby rocks.

A community member alerted police after finding the remains along Yallingup’s picturesque Injidup Beach on Sunday about 9.45am.

On October 25 a 23-year-old South Australian woman who couldn’t swim was swamped by a wave in treacherous conditions near Injidup Natural Spa.

Two friends had entered the water to help her but she couldn’t be rescued. Authorities managed to get the pair out of the water safely.

Police and volunteers searched the ocean for the woman but the search was called off after a few days.

The family of the 23-year-old - who had moved to WA for work - have been notified about yesterday’s discovery but formal identification has yet to be completed.

Local police and forensics officers from the district travelled to the area yesterday afternoon investigate the death.

The unforgiving coastline claimed the life of 23-year-old Singaporean student Heng Yi Goh in June when he was taken by a wave, with his body found almost three weeks later.
