In pictures: Myalup’s Crooked Carrot cafe hosts Creepy Crawly and Wildlife Animal Day

Reptiles, birds and insects all made their way to Myalup’s Crooked Carrot cafe with families from across the South West and Perth eager to learn about some of Australia’s native creepy crawlies. The Crooked Carrot’s Creepy Crawly and Wildlife Animal Day saw Zoologist Emily Jones from Ausark Wildlife Education talk about possums, lizards, insects and birds to an awestruck crowd of children. At the end of each demonstration members of the audience were invited up to handle some of the animals, with snakes wrapping their way around shoulders and frogs hopping on top of heads. The Crooked Carrot also hosted travelling bookshop My Little Bookshop with Albany Author Leanne White reading some of her William of the Wild stories on July 6 as part of a series of school holiday programs.
