Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault are set to attempt building a winning streak once again while Bunbury chase their third win of the 2022 SWNFL season this weekend. Round six of the South West Netball Football League is set to feature a Sunday double header at the South West Sports Centre with Bunbury and HBL set to go head to head. HBL will be going into the match fresh from a comprehensive 65-43 victory over South Bunbury at the Leschenault Leisure Centre last weekend. On the other hand, Bunbury will be returning to action after having a bye week during round five, after they also dispatched South Bunbury 53-38 back in round four. Bunbury will need to overcome the dynamic duo of HBL’s Katie Martin and McKenzie Walker in the goal circle and fend off the likes of Khea Borkowski, Kellie Offer and Jasmine Barrett within the mid-court. This weekend will also see the likely return of Stephanie Brookes, who missed last weekend’s match. However, Bunbury will likely be a formidable foe for the Lions with Hannah Rogers in shooting, Hannah Jacks and Courtney Babich within the mid-court, and Isabelle Szemray in defence. Contests between Bunbury and HBL proved to be action-packed throughout the 2021 SWNFL season, with a number of their matches ending in a draw and leaving spectators on the edge of their seats. Meanwhile, reigning premiers Eaton Boomers will go head to head with South Bunbury. Like the Bulldogs, the Boomers will be returning from a bye week while South Bunbury will look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to HBL. Busselton Magpies and Carey Park Panthers will both have bye weeks.
