As the Suncorp Super Netball season reaches its midway point, Harvey’s Donnell Wallam was back to her best in the Queensland Firebirds’ 13-point victory over the NSW Swifts.

The Firebirds took on the Swifts during round seven of the 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season on Saturday where the Firebirds were quick to take control and led throughout the match to win 73-60.

The victory allowed the Firebirds to bounce back from their round six loss to Collingwood Magpies.

Wallam dominated in the goal circle, scoring 55 goals for the match, as well as a super shot, two goal assists, seven rebounds, two feeds and five turnovers, further pressing her case to be selected in the final Commonwealth Games squad.

The 28-year-old and fellow Australian Diamonds squad member Gretel Bueta were once again the dynamic attacking duo for the Firebirds, with Bueta managing 16 goals and 28 feeds.

The Firebirds will hit the road during round eight where they will take on the Melbourne Vixens.
