SPRING will be celebrated on Saturday as the LiveLighter Brunswick Show fills the showgrounds with exhibits, events, rides and entertainment.

At 11am, lifetime Brunswick Show participant and international floral design competitor Jean Shine will officially open the show.

The Celebrating Spring theme will be found throughout the halls in the crafts, art, vegetables, flowers, design and decor and jams sections, as well as on the grounds in all the traditional show events including the grand parade at 3pm.

The chips will start to fly for the log chopping competition from 11am and the horse events will kick off early from 8.30am.

The popular Harvey Beef boning competition and the Italian sausage competition will also be returning for their second year.

The 86th show will feature new acts and sections including the Australiana arena which will feature bush poetry, sheep shearing, sheep dogs and Queensland whipcracker Will the Whip, who after the sun sets will take to the stage for a stunning display with fire.

Bands and acts on the main stage will entertain the crowds all day right up to the fireworks at 8pm.
