Mr Waldin and Mr Morton said International Day of Disability gave people awareness of the experiences of sustaining meaningful employment for a person with lived experience of disability.

We get the opportunity to grow and develop our skills. It’s important and it is important that people are educated to know how to deal with people with disability

Jake Waldin

“Just learning to be fair is the important message, it’s important for the wider community to understand we are all capable.

“At Civitest we are a part of something that is inclusive and mentored a lot and it is something we want to be at every day.”

The theme for this year is “not all disabilities are visible”.

Mr Morton said you never know what people are going through so being kind and supportive to all was important.
