Free mammograms for women over 40 heading to Yarloop before travelling to Harvey

Free breast cancer screening will be available this month for Yarloop women over 40, as BreastScreen WA’s mobile screening clinic heads to town.
The clinic will be stationed at the Yarloop Community Resource centre from May 20 to May 21 offering women free mammograms to help detect potential signs of breast cancer in its early stages.
With one-in-seven women likely to develop breast cancer in their lifetime, regular screening is a vital tool in detecting cancers.
Following their visit to Yarloop, BreastScreen WA’s mobile clinic will be travelling to Harvey in mid June and remain at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre until early July.
With BreastScreen only visiting these regions once every two years, women over 40 are highly encouraged to book in a free screening.
Appointments are required with bookings to be made online at www.breastscreen.health.wa.gov.au or by calling 13 20 50.
