In an effort to bolster its timber industry operations, Dardanup softwood sawmiller Wespine has partnered with South West logistics service provider MGM Bulk.

This partnership involves MGM providing two services, the transport of timber product to and from timber treaters and the important role of reliable and safe transport service for residues.

Wespine managing director Patrick Warrand said the removal of residues from Wespine to Laminex to make particle board is a “key job”.

“Importantly residues must be removed for the Wespine manufacturing plant to operate,” he said. “MGM has commissioned new co-branded trucks for the transport services being provided to Wespine.”

Mr Warrand said there are about 200 employees at the mill and thousands of people employed within the WA timber and associated industries.
