With just two more rounds of the 2022 South West Netball Football League home and away season to go, the race towards the finals is heating up, with Bunbury continuing their uphill battle for a top-four finish.

Bunbury Bulldogs are set to face off against the Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault Lions on Saturday at the South West Sports Centre in the 20th round of the season.

With just two more games left for the regular season, this weekend’s match will prove crucial for the Bulldogs as they continue to press their case for a top-four finish.

Bunbury currently sit fifth on the ladder with a 5-7-1 record, just one premiership point behind South Bunbury, fourth with a 6-8 record.

Meanwhile, HBL will be looking to further consolidate their spot in the finals.

The Lions are third with a 8-4-1 record and will be looking to redeem themselves from their last meeting with Bunbury in round 17, which the Bulldogs won by 10 goals.

Meetings between Bunbury and HBL have proved to be very exciting this season so far, from Bunbury’s upset win in round 17 to a 42-all draw in round six.

Elsewhere, Eaton Boomers will host Carey Park at Eaton Recreation Centre as the Boomers look to consolidate top spot on the ladder.

While a win for Eaton will extend their lead over Busselton on the ladder, a potential upset victory for Carey Park could see Busselton move to first despite having a bye week, depending on the final score.
