The 2019 Gabrielle chardonnay was named the Best Wine of the Show and was a popular favourite, Mr Robinson said.

At last year’s awards the winery took home both Best WA White and Red Table Wine, Best Single Vineyard White Table Wine and Best Boutique Wine of the Show.

Anita Robinson said the back-to-back wins were a huge achievement for Talisman.

We are making a name for ourselves as the best single vineyard in the country.

Talisman Wines also found success at the recent Geographe Wine Show when they were awarded the Best Geographe White Wine and Best Geographe Chardonnay for their 2019 Gabrielle chardonnay and Best Geographe Red Varietal for their 2019 merlot.

The father-daughter duo is opening their cellar door this weekend, an event four years in the making.

“We can’t wait to welcome people down here in amongst the setting they’re grown in,” she said.

“It’s such a unique spot and we’re surrounded by the beautiful Wellington National Park.

“The region is booming in terms of quality.”

More success for the valley came via St Aidan Wines, which won the Best Cabernet Sauvignon, while other South West wineries also took home trophies.

Oakway Estate in Donnybrook won this year’s Best Other Single Variety White Wine for its 2020 il Sardo Vermentino and Whimwood Estate in Nannup was awarded for its 2018 Chardonnay.

Nannup Ridge Estate landed two awards — the Best Blackwood Valley Red Wine for its 2018 Perks Road Cabernet Merlot and the Most Successful Valley Exhibitor.
