The Shire of Harvey have rejected plans to turn a commercial shed in Australiand’s light industrial area into a doggy day care.

At its meeting last week, the council unanimously knocked back plans for a new doggy day care to open in the shire.

The daycare would have offered a place for dogs to socialise, play and exercise whilst their owners were at work.

If the development had been approved, the centre would have run from 7am to 5:30pm and offered education and support for dog owners as well as dog washing, treats and accessories for our canine companions.

Some residents expressed issues with the potential noise of barking dogs in comments to the shire.
