Perth motorists are being warned to take extra care on the roads this morning, with a pedestrian spotted on Kwinana Freeway and an abandoned vehicle blocking a lane in Maddington.

Main Roads WA issued an urgent alert just after 6.30am on Wednesday, warning drivers a pedestrian had been spotted on the Kwinana Freeway northbound after Mill Point Road in South Perth.

Motorists approaching the area have been urged to slow down and exercise extreme caution.
