Police investigating after person found dead in burnt out car in Yanchep

Police are investigating the death of a person in a burnt out car north of Perth.

It is understood the white ute was found by a member of the public about 200m down a sand track near Haddrill Road.

Work is underway to remove the car from the area.

It is unknown at this stage if the death is suspicious and police inquiries are continuing.

Forensic and arson squad detectives were seen at the site today.
