Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance arena spectacular farewell tour coming to RAC Arena

Olympic gold medal ice-skating icons Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will mark 50 years dancing on the ice together in 2025 with a final farewell tour before hanging up their skates. Arena spectacular Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance begins in the UK in April before the British skating legends tour to Australia for the first time since 1994, finishing in Perth at RAC Arena on June 27. “Performing in Oz has always been very special for us. So ‘Our Last Dance’ will be a final opportunity to celebrate and say thank you to all of our wonderful fans over there who have supported us consistently for many years,” Torvill and Dean said. “Whilst we will continue to work together off the ice, the tour will be the final time we will skate together following our 50-year partnership.” Regarded as one of the greatest sporting moments of the 20th century, the skaters had millions worldwide on the edge of their seat while performing to Ravel’s Bolero at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Their jaw-dropping performance set a new standard for world-class figure skating. “What we want to do in the live show is try and take people on the journey that we’ve had throughout our careers, starting in the 70s when we got together as teenagers,” Torvill said. “Through to the 80s, 90s, going on to do Dancing On Ice in the 2000s and leading up to where we are today. And I’m sure, somewhere in there, there’ll be a Bolero.” Dean added: “We always tend to be looking forward at what’s the next thing, and it’s only times like this now, talking about the final tour, that we’re thinking about the past and what we’ve done and the collection of events that have made up our life. “The reflection is taking us back with fond memories. “If you like dance and movement and skating, this show will have all of that … so it’s a spectacular evening of entertainment.” Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance is at RAC Arena, June 27, 2025.
