'Bringing the heat': Dockers wary of wounded Magpies

Beware the wounded Magpie.

That's the warning Fremantle are hearing loud and clear ahead of facing Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on Friday night

The Magpies were left reeling after sinking to a 54-point loss to reigning premiers Brisbane last Thursday.

But for Fremantle forward Isaiah Dudley, that only makes Craig McRae's team more dangerous.

"The goal is to have a solid win but Collingwood, they're a very good team and we know that they're going to bounce back from their loss last week," Dudley said.

"So they're going to bring the heat and bring their A game and we expect that. It'll be a cracking game."

Collingwood forward Beau McCreery had every confidence the Magpies could mount a response.

What gives him that belief?

"Just how mature our team is," McCreery said.

"Obviously we know what brand of footy we can play, and when we do play that brand of footy, we're so good.

"So if we can come back to winning stoppage and stuff like that, and bring our pressure back into the game, I think we'll get up."

The Dockers had to deal with a lightning delay to their captain's run on Thursday but feel well prepared for if there are wet conditions.

"We got a taste of it today and last week we wet the balls up to get a good feel of wet-weather footy," Dudley said.

"And I think it suits our game style. We like to get in and under, and all of our boys are prepped pretty well for it."

Last week's win over Adelaide has the Dockers confident they can ride the bumps when momentum swings Collingwood's way - and extend their winning run to four games.

"It would be pretty cool to go four in a row but we're just all staying present," South Australian Dudley said.

"Our mindset is to go and win the day and I think we won the day today and hopefully we can come home with the win."

Fremantle will go in unchanged while Collingwood welcome back young superstar Nick Daicos and veteran Scott Pendlebury, with midfielder Angus Anderson to make his debut.
