Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth is no stranger to Marvel and the man best known as Thor, The God of Thunder, was there to watch as West Coast got hammered by the Western Bulldogs on Easter Sunday.

The home side gave their famous superfan a run for his money as they flexed their muscles against a young and winless Eagles side, with Hemsworth spotted celebrating each goal in a packed suite.

Western Bulldogs teased his appearance in a social media post prior to the game, sharing a photo of their special Thor-themed jumper, which the club wore in a one-off appearance to celebrate the first game at the renamed Marvel Stadium in 2019.

The social media post featured two eyes and a lightning bolt, in tribute to Thor’s superpowers, while the jumper itself is emblazoned with the superhero’s iconic armoury on the front and a red cape on the back.

The 40-year-old cheered and pumped his fist, clearly enjoying watching the Dogs make light work of last year’s wooden spooners, who took home the chocolates in an upset late last year at the same venue but failed to replicate their efforts on Sunday.

The Avengers star, one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, regularly posts his love for Western Bulldogs. He has previously shared photos of himself in the red, white and blue jumper with his 58.6 million Instagram followers.

Following the Dogs’ grand final loss to Melbourne at Optus Stadium in 2021, Hemsworth congratulated the Demons while writing: “I’m a @westernbulldogs supporter through and through”.
