Richmond forward Mykelti Lefau caught driving under the influence of alcohol

Richmond forward Mykelti Lefau has reportedly been caught drink driving.
CODE Sports first revealed Lefau was pulled over Victoria Police on the weekend, allegedly blowing a blood alcohol reading of .108 – more than double the legal limit of 0.05.
Victoria Police on Monday said Prahran police had stopped a male driver for a random breath test on Wattletree Road, Malvern East about 3am on Saturday February 21.
“The Surrey Hills man returned a positive preliminary test before returning an alleged evidentiary reading of .108,” the police statement said.
“The driver is expected to be issued with an infringement notice for drink driving.”
Comment has been sought from the Tigers.

Lefau, 27, was sidelined for majority of the 2025 season with knee and soft-tissue injuries.
But he featured in the Tigers’ match simulation on Friday afternoon against Essendon and booted three goals.
Lefau has played 11 games at AFL level for 14 career goals after he was recruited as a mature-age player out of Casey’s VFL program in 2023.
The Tigers will be in action on Friday when they take on Melbourne in a pre-season clash at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.
Their 2026 season commences against Carlton on March 12 at the MCG.
