SWFL 2022: Busselton make statement after convincing display at Harvey Recreation Ground

A strong opening half from Busselton ensured they easily defeated the Harvey Bulls 10.14 (74) to 5.4 (34) on Saturday at the Harvey Recreation Ground. With Liam Creighton (four goals) dominating up forward, the visitors put the game out of reach by half-time and were able to enjoy their lengthy trip back down the Bussell Highway. “We just had to tick it off,” Magpies coach Daniel Delaney said. “Having Nathan Arbon back was a big inclusion. Straight away, he was able to set us up in the guts, which allowed us to be able to put a few players where we wanted to on the outside. “We probably could have scored a few more goals in the first quarter, but we really opened them up in the second and that was the difference. ‘It is always great to win a game away from home — and it has us now sitting in an OK position after a bit of an ordinary start to the opening block of fixtures.”
