VideoEagles star Harley Reid produced a superb individual effort to goal on the run after three bounces against the Demons.

He is only 10 games in to his AFL career, but Waalitj Marawar’s (West Coast) Harley Reid has claimed almost every accolade on offer so far this season.

Now he has a goal-of-the-year nomination to his name.

As the Eagles pulled off a stunning upset over Narrm (Melbourne), Reid was at the centre of it all, earning a perfect 10 coach’s votes.

A double fend-off of Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca leaving the former shaking his head in bemusement.

But it was his goal out of the centre that will live long in the memories of Eagles fans. Reid burst out the back of the contest and torched Petracca before launching from 50 to send the crowd and the AFL world into meltdown.

There was plenty of strong competition to earn the nomination for round 10 with Izak Rankine’s dribbler from an acute angle almost winning the game for Kuwarna (Adelaide) over Collingwood while there was Darcy Byrne-Jones’ soccering effort to break Hawthorn hearts.

However, fans got behind the Harleymania to give the No.1 draft pick the nod.

It follows his two mark-of-the-year contenders, in round six against Walyalup (Fremantle) and nine against Collingwood, with teammate Bailey Williams joining him for competition after earning a nomination for his leap over Harrison Petty at the weekend.

But they will both likely have to find an even better hanger to compete with Jamie Elliot’s Anzac Day epic.

Reid’s nod means he has now secured, Goal of the Year, Rising Star and Mark of The Year nominations along with a perfect 10 from the coaches in his first 10 games.

Only former Sydney forward Ben Ronke, across his first eight games, has earned those accolades in a quicker time.
