A magnificent passage

MSC Cruises’ newly refurbished MSC Magnifica has transited the Panama Canal on its way to Australia on its 2026 World Cruise.
Due to arrive in Sydney on March 3, the ship’s recent extensive refurbishment includes an an upgraded MSC Aurea Spa, gym and specialty restaurants Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar.
It now also has an MSC Yacht Club — the line’s “ship within a ship” concept.
MSC Magnifica has already travelled from the Mediterranean across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and Central America, where it completed its Panama Canal transit.
After Australia, it heads to Asia, the Indian Ocean islands and southern Africa, before returning to Europe.
“We are excited to welcome MSC Magnifica back to New Zealand and Australia this February and March,” says Katrina McAlpine, managing director, Australia & New Zealand for the MSC Group cruise division says, pointing out that this is the second consecutive year the region has been included as part of its international journey.
“During this global voyage, with such a diverse mix of international guests onboard, it is a wonderful opportunity to spotlight the unique landscapes, cultures and experiences of our region.”
