Vibrant colour, clothing and community spirit transformed The Court Hotel courtyard into a sustainable shopping mecca on Sunday for the second edition of Australia’s Biggest Op Shop Sale.
Launched in 2025 around National Thrift Shop Day on August 17, this year’s follow-up drew more than 1500 eager Perth thrift shoppers who lined surrounding streets in the winter sun before doors opened to score pre-loved garments and vintage threads.
In a further ode to pre-loved fashion, a highlight of the day was the R.E.V.I.V.E. Runway showcase that featured several of Perth’s leading models and influencers, and was curated and styled by Carolyn O’Driscoll and Gail Thompson.
The runway opened with sculptural, wearable art by designer Natalia Diaz of ALGARABIA Designer.
Drawing on the passion of next-gen creatives, it concluded with a striking presentation from South Metropolitan TAFE fashion students, and avant-garde face masks by Perth designer and stylist Maria Kolchina.
DJ Her Highness provided musical entertainment for the day.
Op shops and up-cyclers contributing to the sustainable shopping marketplace included ParaQuad Industries, Save the Children, Cat Haven, Salvos Stores, St Pat’s Op Shop, and Get Scrubbed.
