Homes are under threat and residents are being urged to leave now as an out of control emergency bush fire continues to burn in Gnangara in Perth’s north-east.

Residents in the area of Sydney Road to the west, Gnangara Road to the south, Warbrook Road to the north and Centre Way to the east are urged to evacuate the area.

Homes in Heritage Terrace and Knight Road are already under threat by fire.

Emergency services have been battling the blaze since lunchtime on Wednesday, after it was reported in the Gnangara pine plantation.
