WA records three new cases of coronavirus overnight

WA has recorded three new cases of coronavirus overnight after more returned overseas travellers tested positive to the potentially deadly virus.

The three new cases — one male and two females aged in their 20s — are all in hotel quarantine and the number active cases in WA is 57.

WA has now recorded 760 positive cases in total since the onset of the pandemic, of which 694 have recovered.

No new cases have been detected on board either the AL Messilah or Key Integrity cargo ships docked at Fremantle port.

Yesterday, one crew member from the Al Messilah was moved from hospital to hotel quarantine while 14 healthy crew members remain onboard.

Deep cleaning has been completed on the Key Integrity while 12 essential crew members remain onboard.

Eight of their shipmates are in hotel quarantine.
