Harvey RSL secretary and treasurer Trish Rumball and president Eric Hall say this year is the first time Anzac Day services have been cancelled since World War II.

They are encouraging people to still pay their respects by laying individual wreaths throughout the day. Harvey Community Radio will be streaming a service at 6am and 10am to commemorate the Anzacs, and RSL branches nationwide are encouraging people to stand in their driveways on April 25 and “light up the dawn”.
