Driver walks away from fiery crash

The driver of a stolen V8 commodore utility has walked away from a fiery crash in the early hours of this morning.

It is believed the vehicle was travelling south along South Western Highway at high speed when the driver left the road.

The V8 utility was completely burnt out in the firery crash.

The vehicle then crashed into the Brunswick Junction’s decorative entry signage and then into a tree just after 3am.

“The driver removed himself from the vehicle after sustaining only minor injuries,” Bunbury Police Snr Sgt Malcolm Jones said.

The driver of the V8 commodore utility was able to remove himself from the vehicle before it caught fire.
