Australind and Bunbury police are following multiple lines of inquiry after thieves targeted four businesses at the Australind Village shopping centre last Tuesday.

Thieves entered Benesse Australind, Our Massage, Australind Chinese and Australind Fish and Chips between 1am and 2am. Safes were targeted at two of the businesses and a number of items were stolen.

Australind police officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Mark Smith said officers were investigating multiple lines of enquiry.

“We’ve got exceptional CCTV footage from multiple cameras from the area, which shows the suspects committing these offences,” he said.

Sen. Sgt Smith said the investigation was a “very active inquiry” with officers from multiple stations on the case.

He also urged motorists to come forward if they were driving in the area at that time, especially if they had a dash cam in operation.

“We are asking that anyone driving along Old Coast Road near Australind at that time to come forward, especially if they had their dash cam running at the time.

Without realising it, they might have captured something on camera. Their dash cam may have a vital clue for police.
