Community organisations and volunteers in Harvey and beyond are being asked to come together for a forum to find solutions to current volunteer shortages.

The Harvey Community Resource Centre will host a Volunteer Information Expo on Saturday after hearing of the many organisations are facing due to resource shortages.

A new initiative to make the Harvey CRC a “volunteer base” for the Shire will be launched at the expo, with the hopes of creating a volunteer and organisation database to better share limited resources.

There will be guest speakers from Volunteer South West and the National Emergency Management Agency at the event.

The expo will start at 9am at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and continue until 3pm.

More information on the event can be obtained on 9729 1669 or events@harveycrc.com.au.
