The Eaton Boomers have added some much-needed firepower to its forward line ahead of next season, signing former Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault full forward Jay Walton.

Walton led the Lions’ goalkicking last season, booting 47 goals in 19 matches, kicking almost three times that of Eaton Boomers’ leading goalkicker Matt Buchanan (16 goals).

The 2016 Landmark Carnival representative played just the one season with the Lions before making the move to the Boomers.

Boomers coach Brett Mcguire said Walton would add experience to their forward line.

Meanwhile, Ryan McKinlay has been training with Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault.

The versatile big man has forged a reputation in the Peel Football League as an impact player for the Waroona Demons.

McKinlay helped lead the Demons to a grand final appearance against the Baldivis Brumbies last year.
