While most people were still celebrating the start of 2018, one driver was left regretting the New Year just 20 minutes in.
A 55-year-old Bunbury woman was charged with a drink-driving offence after being found with a blood alcohol content in excess of 0.08 at 12.20am on January 1.
Yarloop police stopped the driver on South Western Highway near Harvey, and recorded a final BAC reading 0.089.
This resulted in an automatic on-the-spot loss of licence for the woman, who will appear in Harvey Magistrates Court next week.
