Police seize drugs, home-made guns in Waroona
TWO men have been charged after Waroona police discovered three home-made guns and drugs during a traffic stop on South Western Highway last night.
At about 8:30pm, police stopped a Nissan utility on South West Highway near James Road in Waroona.
While conducting a search of the car, police allegedly found three home-made guns, ammunition, a knife and a quantity of drugs.
A 25-year-old Dwellingup man has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful manufacture of a firearm, possessing a prohibited weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 38-year-old Pinjarra man has also been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Both men are due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on August 29.
