Public info helps Harvey and Yarloop police nab nine offenders

A combined effort by Harvey and Yarloop police has netted good results, with nine people being charged with 23 offences, including one count of stealing as a servant.

Officers executed search warrants at numerous locations across Harvey and Waroona.

As a result of the raids, police charged a 52-year-old woman from Waroona with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a prohibited drug and one count of supplying a prohibited drug.

A 50-year-old Harvey man was charged with one count of possession of a prohibited drug, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of unlicensed ammunition.

A 33-year-old Harvey man was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The man was also charged with one count of stealing as a servant.

A 44-year-old Waroona man was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of a prohibited drug. A 51-year-old man, also from Waroona, was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 27-year-old Waroona woman was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a prohibited drug and two counts of offer to supply a prohibited drug.

Police also charged a 50-year-old Gosnells man with two counts of offer to supply a prohibited drug and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harvey police Sgt Adrian Koekemoer said information from the community helped with police investigations.

“I would like to thank the community for the information they provided and encourage them to do so,” Sgt Koekemoer said.

“The public is encouraged to provide information to the police either by attending their local police station or by phoning CrimeStoppers.”

All of the offenders will appear in Harvey Magistrates Court next month.
