Identity of man accused of encouraging ex-colleagues to die by suicide and sending their details to funeral homes revealed

The identity of a real estate agent accused of giving the details of his former colleagues to funeral homes after encouraging them to die by suicide has been revealed. Adrian Bruno, 38, is accused of sending “graphic and confronting” emails to some of his former female colleagues. Some of the threatening emails allegedly encouraged the women to die by suicide. Mr Bruno is further accused of giving his alleged victims’ contact details to funeral homes, which then contacted the women to make arrangements for their funeral services. Mr Bruno previously worked for a Sydney real estate company, with some of his alleged offending relating to a victim at Ray White. Court documents seen by NewsWire allege Mr Bruno sent material “directly promoting a particular suicide method, and intend the material to be used by another person to commit suicide” in one instance. He is also accused of sending a “false or misleading” email to two Ray White businesses with the intent of harming the employment of one of the alleged victims and damaging the car of another woman in a separate incident. The alleged offending spans between June 2025 and February 2026. The 38-year-old fronted Burwood Local Court for the first time on Tuesday morning. Clutching a bible, Mr Bruno asked for an adjournment to seek legal advice. His request was granted, with his matter to return to court on April 14 when he is due to enter pleas. “I can leave? I can go home?” Mr Bruno asked the registrar. Mr Bruno declined to comment on the case to journalists outside court, telling them “I’m seeking legal advice”. He was arrested on March 16 and charged with 17 counts of using a carriage service to menace/harass/offend, as well as one each of use carriage service with intent for another to commit suicide, publish etc false misleading material to obtain advantage and destroy or damage property. Mr Bruno will remain on bail ahead of his next court appearance, with interim apprehended violence orders to continue until that date.
