Perth traffic: Truck and car collide on Kwinana Freeway, cancelling trains on Mandurah line

Trains on the Mandurah line were cancelled after a traffic incident forced the Transperth service to be closed on Wednesday morning.
Transperth announced the cancellation, which affected all stops on the Mandurah line between Cockburn Central and Rockingham, at 11.01am.
The cancellation also caused delays on the Yanchep line, which continues on from the Mandurah line from Perth Underground.
Services have since resumed and the Public Transport Authority is working to maintain the regular train timetable.
It is believed the incident was caused by an incident on the Kwinana Freeway southbound at Anketell Road, where a car and truck collided and reportedly broke through the barrier and ended up just metres from the train line.
The right lane of the Freeway was closed by Incident Response.
The crash has since been cleared, but traffic is still heavy leading up to the site as of 12pm.
The incident comes as Perth commuters turn to public transport in droves to combat skyrocketing fuel prices caused by the US-Israel-Iran war.
