Hammond Park hit and run: Police investigate after incident leaves cyclist in hospital with serious injuries

Detectives are investigating a hit and run in Perth’s south that put a cyclist in hospital with serious injuries earlier this month. A 64-year-old man was cycling southward on the bike path at Hammond Park that runs alongside the Kwinana Freeway on February 11. At about 10.25pm, he was knocked off his bike by an unknown person, possibly two, riding a motorcycle. The man was rushed to Fiona Stanley Hospital with serious injuries to his hip and shoulder. It is understood he remains in hospital recovering from his injuries. Fremantle detectives are appealing to the public for any new information as they continue to investigate the incident. Police have released images of two people they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
