Peter rings Bulls’ bell
Former Fremantle Dockers captain Peter Bell will play for the Harvey Bulls in a one-off game later this season.
Bell adopted the Bulls as his club under an initiative from his ABC radio show and coach Paul Fimmano said the two-time North Melbourne premiership player put in a clearance so he can suit up for the team later this year.
“He wants to come and play a game,” he said.
“We are his adopted club. Every Monday he talks about us on the radio.
“He made note that he wants to come for a run and we said we would believe it when he put a clearance in.
“Peter signed the clearance and lodged it last week.
“He may kick three goals and we can convince him to play.”
Fimmano said Bell had already had a significant influence at the club.
“We have had members sign up just because of his radio show,” he said.
Fimmano said an exact date for Bell’s appearance was yet to be decided.
