RAC Rescue Helicopter sent to car rollover on Forrest Highway near Old Coast Road in Lake Clifton

The RAC Rescue Helicopter was sent to Forrest Highway on Friday afternoon when a vehicle left the road and rolled several times. Police said a man in his 20s was driving a Toyota Landcruiser on Forrest Highway near the intersection of Old Coast Road in Lake Clifton when his car left the road and rolled over several times at around 2.15 pm. The man was airlifted to hospital and police said inquiries into the crash were continuing. The location of the incident is near the Forrest Highway’s 28km point-to-point average speed camera zone, where the speed limit changes from 80km/h to 100km/h. Firefighters attended and traffic was diverted around the scene with a build-up of cars along the Old Coast Road exit leading onto the highway. The news came less than three weeks after a five-month-old baby and 20-year-old man were killed and two other children were injured in a horror crash in Binningup in the Shire of Harvey. The single-vehicle crash took place on Forrest Highway northbound near Noble Street at the opposite end of Forrest Highway’s average speed camera zone from where Friday’s crash was believed to have take place.
