Quick little overnight recap
The Snooze Slumber Party has just wrapped up with a very early slice of celebratory cake in bed - and the obligatory presentation of a giant cheque.
Telethon’s overnight skit favourites Famous Sharron and Ben O’Shea each produced a cake to celebrate five years of the slumber party, now a staple of Telethon’s overnight programming.
Lying on the bed with Chad Rankin from Snooze, O’Shea shared that he had baked a cake himself to mark the milestone of the fifth annual slumber party.
And his offering had all the hallmarks of a dad’s homemade treat, an odd-shaped, roundish treasure loosely covered in icing and lollies.
Famous Sharron then shared that she too had organised a cake for the moment - producing a perfectly designed, bed-shaped baked beauty of a treat.
Snooze’s contribution to Telethon this year was $50,000

Telethon Ball showcases generous executive philanthropy
Reaffirming its place as the crown jewel of WA’s philanthropic calendar, the 2026 Telethon Ball brought together the elite for an unforgettable evening that raised millions for the sick children across our great State.
Sweeping past champagne receptions into a lavish green, gold and pink floral sanctuary, attendees entered an atmosphere where opulence met, but did not outshine the grand display of generosity.
With a room packed full of Australia’s top executives and political figures, the night stood as a powerful testament to the Telethon tradition.
Pop star panel
Australia’s beloved pop stars are taking over the next panel, with Reece Mastin, Jessica Mauboy, Phil Burton and Kate Miller-Heidke hyping up the crowd.
Mauboy has raced back to RAC Arena after performing at the 2026 Telethon Ball, which she said had an incredible atmosphere.
Mastin said despite the long break in between Telethon performances, the energy and generosity hasn’t changed.
