Harvest Festival stomping good fun for all

David CharlesworthHarvey-Waroona Reporter

Clear blue skies greeted the LiveLighter Harvey Harvest Festival, which drew thousands of people from around the region on Sunday.

This year saw a free kids zone with face painting, firefighter demonstrations, sand art, balloon twisting and inflatable games as well as all the classic festival food and fun.

The day culminated in the finals of the WA Grape Stomp Championships.

In the Primary School final, Harvey boys Ty Guretti and Riley Clark took first place with 0.89kg of juice while Harvey girls Chakiah Craigie and Trinity Bateup claimed the High School championship with 1.285kg.

Open Grape Stomp Champions of 2014, Ippo Tsuchiya, of Tokyo, and Chris Parker, of Harvey, again won the trophy with 5.275kg of juice.
